Part One: Initial Consultation
Kurt reached out to us through our Facebook page and inquired about new windows.
After we provided some quick details online, we determined it’s best to have a consultation and see what are the actual issues and scope.
He had an old home that went through a lot of upgrades, and now it was time for new windows.
They wanted better insulation, less noise from outside, and better-looking windows.
We scheduled a free on-site visit first.
Some of the issues we've found during our consultation were...
Subpar sealing
Many of the windows had sealing applied wrong or not at all, letting in cold air.
Looked dated
Some of the windows were single-pane windows, so very bad insulation.
Rotten frames
These windows had a lot of water damage and rot, further decreasing efficiency.
Old window styles
Some windows in the house screamed ‘I’m from the 80s’ and looked dated.
Part Two: Planning And Installation
We got pressure treated lumber used to repair or replace parts of the drywall and framing.
We got ProVia single hung and casement windows with higher energy efficiency and a longer lifespan.
We got OSI sealants, insulating foam, tape, and other hardware needed for a high-quality instal.
We got the window casings on site, ready to be installed by our licensed and insured team.
We also take cleanliness very serious, so we covered everything inside and outside the home in cloth and plastic. This ensures we don’t leave dirt and dust in places and we don’t damage your flooring.
Part Three: The Time Schedule
All home upgrades take time, but with proper planning, we streamline your project so it feels easier and much clearer.
Nov 2025
We did our initial consultation in late November. We did a thorough inspection of all the windows and listened to what Kurt needed.
Dec, Jan, Feb
After we helped our client choose the materials, we ordered them. In the meantime, this gave our clients enough time to plan everything and get ready.
March 2026
There were a total of 7 full-frame windows that needed various repairs. We prepped the house, removed the old ones, install the new ones, and cleaned up in just 2 days.

James Hardie Siding Replacement
This project included:
- 6 single hung ProVia ecoLite EL400 Series
- Remove and haul away old windows
- Flash opening with Flexwrap sill tape
- Nail flange and tape with 4" window flashing tape
- Spray foam openings with O.S.I. Spray foam
- Pre-finish all casings, jamb extensions and all wood windows
- Protecto Super Stick Building Tape - 4"x75'
- OSI Quad Insulating Foam Sealant (21.2 oz)
James Hardie HZ5 HardieShingle Straight Edge Siding - 15.25" - Mountain Sage
This beautiful shingle from James Hardie is one of the best materials out there to mimic the beauty and simplicity of the asphalt shingles. We used around 70 pieces as a beautiful accent for the siding on the garage addition.
James Hardie HZ5 HardiePlank Eased Edge Lap Siding - 8.25" - Mountain Sage
We used around 370 pieces of this James Hardie planks for the siding on the entire house. They’re beautiful, low-maintenance, and come with a great warranty. In total, the shingles and the planks added up to just south of $15,000.
