Window Replacement Company in Fremont NE
Do you know whether the draft you feel in January is coming through the glass or around the frame it sits in?

Picking a Window Replacement Company in Fremont, NE
On a thirty-year-old window, the glass usually isn’t what’s beaten. It’s the frame around it, and the sill and jambs holding that frame in place.
Leave those where they are and your new window inherits every problem they’ve got. That’s the whole reason we take openings back to framing.
Each one gets wrapped and flashed as part of the install, and the unit going in is built to the opening we measured that morning.
What you’ll notice afterwards is the crank turning with one hand and the draft along the bottom rail gone on windy nights.
The glass carries a Low Emissivity coating too, which is what keeps a west-facing room usable through a July afternoon. Triple pane’s on the table wherever the exposure calls for it.
We’re Carp’s, based in Omaha and up in Fremont most weeks. Marvin made us their earliest Authorized Replacement Contractor anywhere in Nebraska, and we install ProVia alongside it.

What People Say After the First Cold Snap
r
Rachel Woodward
We initially selected Carp’s for our window replacement and residing because of their excellent customer service and communication.
They met with us personally to go over options for windows and siding, going through great detail about the pros and cons of each choice. When we made our selections, we were confident that we made the right choice.
They use an online portal system for all communications, which lets the whole project crew know about what’s going on at the same time. For the size of the project, we were expecting it to take about 10 days, although they finished ahead of schedule in just 6 days. The work-crew was very respectful of the property and our space while working, and did an excellent job.
We are very happy with the final results and have already had several people asking us who did it. We highly recommend Carp’s Exteriors!

I will recommend Carp’s all day long! We had our siding replaced, foundation and garage door painted and our experience from Start to Finish was absolutely amazing! All the Staff was super friendly!
Our House looks great and plan to use them when we decide to replace our windows. Hands down a great Company to work with!
Chad, the Owner even came to our House after all was complete to do a final walk through to make sure we were 100% satified. Thank You again!
Where the Number Usually Lands
Marvin is a premium window and it prices like one. A full-frame Marvin replacement across a house generally runs $25,000 to $40,000, and the rule of thumb we use before we’ve measured anything is about 10% of the home’s value.
Three real projects, with everything each total covered:
- Ashland, NE, $35,108. James Hardie siding, ProVia windows and doors, brick staining, gutters and HydroFlo leaf guards.
- Westgate, NE, $47,663. Hardie siding with cedar accents, Marvin windows, ThermaTru doors and leaf guards.
- Minden, IA, $49,942. Marvin windows, ThermaTru doors, siding and a standing seam steel awning.
Every one of those is a whole-exterior total, so the windows are one share of the figure sitting beside them. A windows-only scope on any of those houses comes in well below the total, and that’s how we’ll break it out on your estimate.
Two things move your price more than the brand does: how many openings there are, and whether any of them need the framing repaired once the old unit is out.
Three Questions, Answered in Order

1
How do you know it'll fit?

2
What happens to the hole in my wall?

3
When do I get the room back?
Most houses are a two to four day install once the units arrive, and the manufacturing lead time before that is where the calendar actually goes. Our exterior remodeling timeline walks through the whole sequence.

Fremont Window Questions
Is a permit required for window replacement in Fremont?
Fremont’s building department lists siding and roof replacement as permit work and doesn’t list window replacement, so most straightforward swaps don’t need one. We check the scope against the city’s requirements on every job, and we’re registered with the City of Fremont either way.
Can you do just the bad windows?
Yes, and plenty of people start with the north and west elevations and come back for the rest. Ordering them together does get you one delivery and one mobilization.
Will the new windows match the trim inside?
We can wrap the exterior and leave your interior casing alone, or replace it. Tell us which at the measure, because it changes the unit we order.
What about the siding around the openings?
If the siding is coming off anyway, doing both at once is cheaper than doing them two years apart, since the flashing and the trim get handled once.
How long do the units take to arrive?
Marvin builds to order, so plan on weeks between the deposit and the install date. We’ll give you the manufacturer’s current lead time at the estimate.
Do you replace patio and entry doors too?
We do. ProVia, ThermaTru and Marvin Ultimate patio doors all go in the same way, and door replacement often rides along with a window order.

That Cold Room Gets Used Again
There’s a seat in most houses that nobody takes between December and March, and getting it back is the whole point of the exercise. Tell us which rooms you avoid and we’ll measure the openings and price your window replacement properly. Call us at (531) 233-5129 or contact us here.
Fremont sits about forty minutes northwest of Omaha in Dodge County, with the Platte on one side and the Elkhorn on the other, and enough older housing that plenty of original windows have already been through one replacement. Three miles west of town, Fremont Lakes State Recreation Area spreads roughly 300 water acres across twenty sandpit lakes, which is why so many houses here were built looking west. Lovely in the evening, hard on glazing, since the open ground that gives you the view also delivers the wind, the driven rain and a good deal of afternoon heat through a west elevation.
