Part One: Initial Consultation
A neighbor we had already worked for sent Kara our way.
Her wood siding was cracking and letting water in near a gutter, and two of her windows had never been updated with the rest.
We measured every wall in August and set a plan for new siding, fresh white trim, and a warm new color.

Cracking siding

A gutter had been letting water in behind the siding.
Sagging roof edge
The trim along the front had pulled away and sagged.

The wood under the top deck step had gone soft.

Part Two: The Design & Build Plan
Six steps, from tear-off to final stain.
Strip and prep
We took off the old wood siding and added fresh backing.
Trim work
We wrapped the windows and corners in clean white trim.
New siding
New siding went up all around in a warm taupe color.
Entry and fixes
We added a warm wood ceiling at the entry and fixed the roof edge.
New windows
We replaced the living-room and kitchen windows
We painted the gutters, foundation, and posts, then stained the steps.
