Part One: Initial Consultation
We measured the house on April 14 and walked every elevation with the homeowner.
The whole exterior still wore its original tan lap siding, tan trim, and a bronze garage door.
Every window was an original wood-frame unit, so we measured each opening for a full-frame replacement.
The homeowner chose James Hardie Rich Espresso with black windows for the new exterior.

Dated lap siding
The original tan lap ran the whole house and had aged and weathered over the years.
Worn fascia
The fascia was failing, so the crew flagged a demo-and-replace step across the front gables.
Original windows
Every opening still held the home’s first wood-frame windows, cased inside with old rosette blocks.
Bare foundation
Gray exposed foundation and the electric and gas meter broke up the front of the house.
Part Two: The Design & Build Plan
Six phases took the house from tan lap to a full Rich Espresso Hardie exterior with new windows inside and out.
Strip and prep We removed all the old siding and trim and prepped the roof.
Trim work We wrapped every corner and window in clean matching trim.
New windows Every window was replaced and sealed tight against leaks.
Roof edge and posts New black roof-edge trim and porch posts went in.
New siding Fresh dark siding went up all around, with a bold accent on the peaks.
Paint and finish We painted the foundation, garage, and gutters.
Part Three: The Time Schedule
All home upgrades take time, but with proper planning, we streamline your project so it feels easier and much clearer.

Finalized the plan for the siding and windows.

Started removing old siding; the first windows went in.

Heavy-duty fiber-cement in a rich dark brown, with the color baked in at the factory so it resists fading, rot, and moisture through Nebraska sun, hail, and freeze-thaw.
Marvin Fiberglass Windows
New Marvin windows with tough fiberglass frames, black inside and out, set into every opening and sealed against drafts and leaks.
Black Aluminum Roof-Edge Trim
Fresh black aluminum along the whole roofline, wrapping the boards under the eaves and across the front where the old wood trim was failing.
Sherwin-Williams Exterior Paint
Foundation and shed door painted to match the dark brown siding, with the garage door and gutters brought to a deep black so nothing clashes.
